The students at Glen Dale Elementary School got to participate in many different health and safety activities during the school’s annual Health Fair. They learned about fire safety, ATV safety, mental health and many other important safety lessons.
Teachers believe it is important for all students to learn about these topics, especially the fifth graders who are going to be in middle school next year surrounded by older kids.
Some of the guests included Smokey the Bear, Hudson Premiere Physical Therapy & Fitness Center and nutritionists from the Marshall County WVU Extension Service.
The students enjoyed the hands on experience as much as the teachers enjoyed watching them learn and broaden their minds.
