More than 1,300 students attended the 18th annual Marshall County Back-to-School Fun Fair Wednesday at the former West Virginia State Penitentiary in Moundsville.

Marshall County students, Pre-K through 12th grade, received free school supplies for their return to school on Thursday, August 16, 2018.  Nearly 50 different agencies provided free assistance to students including haircuts from First Impression Salon, sports physicals given by WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital and check-ups by the Marshall County Health Department.

The “Fun Fair” is made possible thanks to the generosity of the volunteers, A&B Kia, Chevron, Marshall County Schools and the event’s founder Susie Baker.
