Mr. Thomas Gilbert is serving his first term as a member of the Marshall County Board of Education. Mr. Gilbert is an alumni of John Marshall High School and is a graduate of West Liberty State University. He is a member of Saint Jude Catholic Chuch of Glen Dale, and is employed as a district manager for Monumental Life Insurance Company.

Mr. Gilbert served in the United States Marine Corps as one of President Gerald Ford's presidential security guards at Camp David, Maryland. He serves the Glen Dale community as a girls softball coach and is active in the John Marshall Boosters Field Renovation Committee Chairman.
