Hi
Fellow Classmates,
I really enjoyed my time at Moundsville High
School, the cheering, the friendships, and all the experiences from
those days.
After graduation I was fortunate to get an
office job, working for Dr. Robert E. Durig, an optometrist in
Moundsville. I
worked for him from 1963 until 1967. In June of 1967, I married Herb
Kasun
(1960 MHS graduate) and later that year we moved to New Martinsville,
WV where
Herb started working as a Pharmacist at Harmon’s Drug Store. In that
year, I
took the civil service test in Wheeling, WV to qualify for a government
job
with the US Post Office. I luckily was hired at the New Martinsville
post
office as a clerk-carrier in which I worked until our first child was
born –
Jarrod on April 24, 1971.
In 1972, Herb and I moved to Beverly, Ohio
with our adventure of being owners of a small town business – Price’s
Pharmacy.
From being West Virginians all our life to then becoming Ohio residents
was
quite a challenge. We were immediately
welcomed by the community and although we love our home area, we will
always be
Mountaineers.
In 1976, our business expanded moving to a new
site and name change to B & W Pharmacy (standing for
Beverly-Waterford) On
November 19, 1978 our second son Josh was born placing another blessing
in our
life. We are the proud grandparents of Gianna 5, and Kadin 11 and we
have a
Bichon Frise called Casper. Our family is the light of our lives
and has
provided us with so many years of joy and love. So here it is
2012,throughout
all the years I have been so blessed and will forever be grateful for
all that
has come into my life. Thanks everyone for the memories. |
