ALFRED RENZELLA
Superintendent

 

Alfred Renzella was named Superintendent of Marshall County Schools on June 29, 2004. Prior to being named Superintendent, he served as the Special Education and Attendance Director for Marshall County Schools. Mr. Renzella has spent 45 years in education, and over the course of his tenure has served as principal of the former J.T. King Special Education School, developed West Virginia's first modified educational programs, initiated summer programs for gifted and special education students, assisted in the development of the Marshall County Parent Resource Center, and initiated school-specific improvement programs, including positive behavior support.

Mr. Renzella recived his M.A. in Special Education from West Virginia University. He has been honored by the College of Human Resources and Education at West Virginia University as their first Distinguished Alumnus.

In June of 2004, Mr. Renzella was honored with the Distinguished West Virginian Award for his dedication and work in the field of education.
