Thomas N. Wood is the General Supervisor for Marshall County Schools. Mr. Wood has 36 years of experience in the field of education. In addition to his teaching experience, he has served as the Principal of John Marshall High School and Moundsville Junior High School. He was actively involved in the construction of the new Moundsville Middle School. For the past 15 years he has worked with the West Virginia Office of Educational Performance Audits (OEPA). Mr. Wood presently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

Mr. Wood received his Masters Degree in Education Administration and Physical Education from West Virginia University. He also holds certification in Supervision of General Instruction, Vocational Administration and Superintendent.

In 2001, Mr. Wood had the honor of being named the West Virginia Middle School Principal of the Year.
