Cameron Elementary School: The Education Program
A. Mission
Cameron Elementary School will provide an inclusive environment that fosters
academic success, self-esteem and good citizenship appropriate to the individuals'
special needs and abilities. Through a cooperative team effort involving
staff, students, parents, and community, each child will realize his/her
personal potential.
B. Vision
Cameron Elementary will provide an environment that fosters academic success,
self-esteem and good citizenship.
C. Goals:

To aid every child in developing and maintaining
a positive self-image by recognizing his worth as an individual.

To strive to insure some measure of success for every
child each day.

To provide a program which emphasizes the importance
of basic skills and processes, and the ability to apply these learnings
through a flexible program of instruction.

To involve staff, parents and community in the planning
and implementation of a total learning experience.

To create situations which make learning enjoyable,
interesting and meaningful for students by tailoring learning tasks to
learning styles, interests and backgrounds.

To provide many opportunities for emotional, social
and physical growth.

To encourage independence and creativity and provide
students opportunities to become self-directing, responsible citizens.

To provide an atmosphere which permits a continuing
examination of values and social responsibilities of self and others.

component of the curriculum.
