The PTK (Parents, Teachers and Kids) Organization has been an active and important part of Center McMechen School.  The PTK has always sponsored many activities over the years for the children.  From  contributing to educational supplies and awards, as well as, holiday parties, and helping to supplement the cost for the yearly Fun day event, school field trips and numerous activities held throughout the school year.

The PTK has carried on the PTA's tradition and endeavors helping aid the school and its children over the years.  The time, work, and efforts of our
Parents and  Teachers has created a spirit of help and friendship,
people working and caring about our children. PTK can only be as good as its members, and Center McMechen PTK has had the opportunity to fulfill this goal.

10:00 October 11—Advisory Meeting

Our officers are focusing on the following:
1.  Fundraiser—The Great Western Fundraiser orders were sent.  We anticipate the orders to be delivered the week of OCTOBER  18.
2.  Halloween—Lots of help will be needed to get pizza, veggies, snack and drinks to every student as they return  from the parade on October  29.
3.  American Education Week -(November 15) Luncheon for teacher appreciation and related activities.
4.  Santa’s Workshop– Initial planning is being done.

2010 Fundraiser

    The PTK fundraiser will begin on Thursday, Sept 2.  We will again be using the Great Western Reserve to complete our fundraiser titled “Let the Good Times Roll”.   The biggest difference this year that money is collected when the order is taken.  So when orders are turned in students must also turn in the money to cover the order.  The top seller will receive a quality Steeler jersey.  Everyone will receive prizes. Top selling homerooms will participate in the “pig race” on November 18.  Good Luck with making our fundraiser a big success.

 Proceeds go to the PTK to help support field trips, field day, 5th grade promotion, and fun treats for all of our holiday activities.  At the end of the year money is also put into the playground improvement fund for future playground expenses.
