The Web Page Has Pictures of School EventsParents, Important!Appalachian Outreach

As each year has ended, we have always tried to help others in our outreach service project. Once again, we would like to collect supplies from our excess and give them to those whose needs are greater than our own.

As your child ends the year and cleans out his/her desk, backpack, etc., please ask that he/she leave any items that are partially used and will not be needed at home. It could be a notebook that is partially used, pencils sharpened and half used, pens with ink left in them, crayons, etc.  They need not be new or unused, though those are welcome too. All items will be used and greatly appreciated.

Many families served by Appalachian Outreach have little or no money for supplies, and these items help them in their learning. Please talk with your child and encourage them to share with those less fortunate. We will try to have boxes in the classrooms on the last day to place item into them for Appalachian Outreach.

Thanks for your support.

Tyson Project
Step 2: Give Tyson Project A+™ Labels to SchoolStep 3: Redeem Tyson Project A+™ LabelsStep 1: Clip and Save Tyson Project A+™ Labels

We have the opportunity to take part in a National fundraising program sponsored by  Tyson Foods. Through this program, we can raise as much as $12,000 for our school in one year.

Look for the labels from participating Tyson products. For each “Project A+ label WLES will get 24 cents. A collection site will be set up in the front hall.

Teacher List . Com

Washington Lands has entered our school online for a one stop place to find out what your child will need for next year supplies. I know it may be early to think of next year, but no one knows when the sales hit. Now you can print a list and watch for those sales.

It is simple to find if you simply type— www.teacherlists.com or just do a search of the same. From there you will do a search by zip code and then school and then grade.  This may save that mad rush at the start of school to get the list and to go to the store once everything is picked over or gone.

As always, there is no required supplies, only recommended. If you cannot afford items, we will be certain that they get what they need.
