Annual JMHS Festival of Steel This Saturday

John Marshall High School will host its fifth annual Festival of Steel this Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.
The festival will feature local steel drum bands from John Marshall High School, Sherrard Middle School, Wheeling Park High School, Bridge Street Middle School, Wheeling Middle School and Steel Cassa, the valley’s only professional steel drum band.
The proceeds from this year’s festival will be donated to the Colon Cancer Coalition. Local businesses such as Sleep Inn in Moundsville, Dr. Garry Lewis, the Prima Marina, The Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, and Grisell’s Funeral Service have all donated to the cause.
There will be a chance auction for an opportunity to win gift cards and gift baskets. There will also be a concession stand with drinks and snacks.
Doors open at 12:30 pm. Admission is $5.00 at the door. Anyone showing their personalized Marshall County Schools Activity Pass will get free admission.
The JM Festival of Steel was started by Kailey Filben, who is a 2019 John Marshall High School graduate.
