Monarch Company Presents “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”

The Monarch Company of John Marshall High School is excited to present its spring musical, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, based on the comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz, with book, music, and lyrics by Clark Gesner.

Come see an average day in the life of Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they play baseball, fly kites, sing songs, write book reports, swoon over crushes, and find happiness in their everyday lives. The show is sure to delight audiences of all ages with memorable songs and classic moments from the Peanuts comic strips.

Cast members include JJ Brown (Charlie Brown), Chloe Pickett (Sally Brown), Ella Games (Lucy Van Pelt), Kal Hill (Snoopy), Jacob Boyette (Schroeder), Mason Boyette (Linus Van Pelt), Morgan Carlin (Violet), Cheyenne Harvey (Frieda), and Peyton Brown (Peppermint Patty). 

A live musical pit will feature Joan Palmer (reed), Kailey Filben (percussion), Ricky Robinson (drum set), Alina Holliday (violin), Sarah McBee (viola), and Clay Howard (bass).

The stage manager is Megan Gary and assistant stage managers are Trinity Borchik and Emeline Hyde. The sound technicians are AJ Tucker, Chevy Large and Stella Himrod. Light tech is AJ Pintus. Spotlight operator is Layla Rodgers.

The production staff includes Tracey Filben (director), Elaina DePetro (technical director), Justin Jones (music director) Anna Harsh (choreographer), Tony Wood (sound production head), Matt Ali (construction head) and Jason George (backstage advisor).

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown is presented through licensed permission from Concord Theatricals. All authorized performance materials are supplied by Concord Theatricals.

The musical will be held in the John Marshall Center for Performing Arts on Friday, March 28 and Saturday, March 29 at 7:00 pm and on Sunday, March 30 at 2:00 pm. 

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. Children under 5 are free. A personalized Marshall County Schools Activity Pass can be used for free admission.
