2026 SS Fair County Perfect Score Group Pic

The 15th annual Marshall County Schools Social Studies Fair took place on Thursday at the John Marshall Field House.

Students in third through twelfth grade from Cameron Elementary, Center McMechen Elementary, Central Elementary, Glen Dale Elementary, Hilltop Elementary, Sand Hill Elementary, Cameron Middle School, Moundsville Middle School, Sherrard Middle School and John Marshall High School competed in three divisions (elementary, middle school and high school), each featuring 10 different categories for individuals and groups. There were 101 project entries.

While an overall winner isn’t named, 18 students received a perfect score from the judges. The following students earned a 100% in their division and category.

Individual and group winners with the highest scores in each category will compete against students from Hancock, Brooke, Ohio and Wetzel counties during the Regional Social Studies Fair at the John Marshall Field House on Thursday, March 19, 2026. 

Regional winners from all over the state will go head-to-head at the West Virginia State Social Studies Fair on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
