Five Marshall County schools were named "Champions of College Access and Success" by College WV (CFWV) and the Higher Education Policy Commission (HEPC).

John Marshall High School and Cameron High School were two of the 71 high schools in the Mountain State to be recognized for their achievements.

Center McMechen Elementary School, Hilltop Elementary School and Sand Hill Elementary School were three of 29 elementary schools in West Virginia to be acknowledged for their accomplishments.

Schools that achieved the champions status met multiple milestones set by the CFWV throughout the 2025-26 school year.
