The 11th annual Cameron High School College & Career Fair took place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in the school’s gymnasium.

There were 40 vendors at the event including representatives from colleges and universities, the Military, trades, businesses and community outreach programs. Several post-secondary institutions were represented such as West Liberty University, West Virginia Northern Community College, Wheeling University and Bethany College.

Students, in ninth through twelfth grade, and community members had the opportunity to learn about the different colleges and career opportunities. They were even able to request information from the college of their choice as well as apply for employment. A few businesses were hiring on the spot.

The Cameron High School College & Career Fair is held once a year and is organized by CHS Counselor Kelly Pettit. It coincides with College for West Virginia (CFWV) College Application and Exploration Month, an annual, statewide initiative to help students prepare for and pursue postsecondary education and training, observed every October.
